Postsecondary transition goals and services/activities from IEP Section 5 now automatically copy to the Progress Report form. This enhancement is the result of district feedback, particularly from transition coordinators.
As transition coordinators have communicated to our team, IEP case managers now must not only provide transition services/activities, but also keep track of how this is done per ODE. The ODE IEP Verification Checklist used during compliance monitoring reviews of district IEPs has an item "Evidence that Transition Services are being delivered as written". When a district is reviewed, the reviewer needs to see this "evidence"/ documentation in order to complete the checklist. This enhancement can now be used to substantiate services/activities are being completed.
By default, transition goals and services/activities auto-populate rather than require teachers to "click-to-add" to the Progress Report form so that transition goals aren't missed. NOTE: This enhancement does not appear on other variants of progress reports that are less commonly used across the state (OP-06 and Narrative). OP-06 and Narrative forms will be revisited following anticipated 2017-18 forms updates from ODE.
