Special Programs participation tracking determines whether (and key info about how) a student "participates" in a given program at any given time based on dates and content of completed documentation for any given student. Below are the documents used to calculate a student's participation in a district's Reclassification Monitoring program.
A student is considered "participating" in the district's Reclassification Monitoring program in SameGoal if they have been reclassified as English Proficient and are within the state-required two-year monitoring period. A student is no longer participating when they complete two years of monitoring or they re-enter the Emergent Bilingual program. Participation notes (Monitoring Year) included on student program participation badges provide additional information at any given time about the student's monitoring status.
If a student should be in Reclassification Monitoring and does not display as such in SameGoal, inspect the table below. The student requires completed documentation that changes their participation status to "Participating". Conversely, if a student should NOT be in Reclassification Monitoring but does appear to participate in SameGoal, inspect the table below to identify documentation that should be added to change the student's status to "Not participating".
