SameGoal provides backups of customer data in PostgreSQL format. Database backups are available for clients to download via their secure SFTP account. Each backup is generated with and can be restored using standard PostgreSQL utilities. Because PostgreSQL is open source, no license fees are required. These backups are provided as a service to our clients and are not supported by SameGoal. Data is owned by the district; however, database schema is confidential and proprietary SameGoal intellectual property and therefore is not publicly documented or supported.
For more information about PostgreSQL, see the documentation including details about pg_restore which can be used to restore client database backups. Alternatively, you may consider hiring assistance from the list of professional services firms maintained by PostgreSQL. SameGoal does not sell custom development services.
