Impact statements describe the effect of a student’s disability on their involvement and progress in the general education curriculum. According to the TEA, it is best practice to include an impact statement in the FIE.
Thus, in the Full and Individual Evaluation, we’ve included an additional Impact Statement that can be added in Section 4 (Recommendations to the ARD Committee) in order to document this information.

Additionally, districts may choose to make the impact statement required in the FIE, similarly to how it can be made required in the IEP.
