Special Programs participation tracking determines whether (and key info about how) a student "participates" in a given program at any given time based on dates and content of completed documentation for any given student. Below are the documents used to calculate a student's participation in a district's Dual Language program for non-Emergent Bilingual students.
A student is considered "participating" in the district's Dual Language program in SameGoal if they are identified as a Non-EB student electing into a language program with Dual Language Immersion placement. This program tracks participation for non-EB students who participate in Dual Language Immersion programs either as native English speakers in two-way immersion programs or as reclassified former EB students who choose to continue in DLI. Participation notes (Status) included on student program participation badges provide additional information about the specific type of dual language program.
If a student should be in the Dual Language program and does not display as such in SameGoal, inspect the table below. The student requires completed documentation that changes their participation status to "Participating". Conversely, if a student should NOT be in the Dual Language program but does appear to participate in SameGoal, inspect the table below to identify documentation that should be added to change the student's status to "Not participating".
